Our Junior students will briefly look into the Service Industry and what is has to offer as possible career options. A major focus for this year is to look at Domestic Tourism and their place in our country - Turangawaewae. Each student will present a Pepeha to help connect them to the land in which they stand.
The Senior Service classes will embark on their career pathways at Year 10 through to Year 13.
There are a variety of options depending on the level and age of the student.
Year 10 students are working towards building Communication skills as well as participating in the Level Hospitality Units with the Year 11's.
The Year 12 and 13's are specialising in their chosen areas. Currently we are looking at Tourism, Hairdressing, Hospitality and Childcare. Throughout the year, these students will undertake Gateway and Star courses as well as work experience and placements within their career areas.
